You can follow articles and categories within the to receive email notifications when new articles are added or existing articles are updated.

When you follow an article or category, you will receive an email in the following scenarios:

  • Any new article or category is published

  • A new version of an article or a category is published

  • An article or page category is republished

  • A published article is unhidden or recovered from the recycle bin

Email notifications are not sent in the following scenarios:

  • When articles or categories are deleted

  • When articles or categories are hidden

  • When an article is reordered or moved to another category

This article will show you how to follow an article or category on the Help Center.

Important Note

When you follow a category or an article, you will receive email notifications within 30 minutes if there are any updates.

  • For categories, this includes updates to all sub-categories (up to six levels deep) and all associated articles.

  • For articles, you'll be notified of any changes made to the specific article you followed.


Follow a Category

  1. Navigate to the desired category in the Help Center

  2. Click the More (three dots) icon and click Follow category

  3. The Follow this category pop-up will appear. Enter your email address to receive email updates.

  4. Click Follow

  5. A confirmation message panel will appear

  6. You will receive an email notification whenever there is an update in the followed article


Unfollow a Category

  1. Navigate to the desired category in the Help Center

  2. Click the More (three dots) icon and click Unfollow category

  3. A confirmation message panel will appear

  4. You will no longer receive notifications for the category


Follow an Article

  1. Navigate to the desired article in the Help Center

  2. Click the Follow button at the top of the article

  3. The Follow this article panel will appear. Enter your email address to receive email updates.

  5. A confirmation message panel will appear that says, You are now following this article

  6. You will receive an email notification whenever there is an update in the followed article


Unfollow an Article

  1. Navigate to the desired article in the Help Center

  2. Click Unfollow to unfollow the article

  3. A confirmation message will appear that says, You are no longer following this article

  4. You will no longer receive notifications for the article


Unsubscribe from Article and Category Email Notifications

  1. Open the Follow articles and categories email notification and click Unsubscribe

  2. The Unsubscribe from Email Updates page will appear. Choose an option:
    Options to unsubscribe from email updates for specific articles or all articles.

    • Unsubscribe from this article: Stop receiving updates for that specific article

    • Unsubscribe from all articles: Stop receiving updates from all articles in the Help Center

  3. Click the Unsubscribe button

  4. If you are not logged in to the Help Center, you will be redirected to the login page; once logged in, the corresponding article(s) or category will be unfollowed automatically
    You've successfully unsubscribed message.


FAQ

What types of updates will I be notified about when I follow an article or category?

You will receive notifications for new articles or categories published, new versions of articles, republished articles, and when an article is recovered from the recycle bin.

Will I receive notifications if an article or category is deleted?

No, email notifications are not sent when articles or categories are deleted.

How long will it take to receive email notifications after following an article or category?

You will receive email notifications within 30 minutes if there are any updates.

Are updates to sub-categories included when I follow a category?

Yes, updates to all sub-categories (up to six levels deep) and all associated articles will be included.
