Mass Notification Alerts to HCMS / Web Evolve Integration

This article walks through how to set up an integration between the Mass Notification and the HCMS in Integration Hub.

Important Notes

  • When setting up the integration, you can choose to automatically publish the alert in the HCMS or have it start in Draft status.

  • HTML formatting will not be brought over from Mass Notification and will appear as plain text in the HCMS.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab in the Integration Hub Integrations tab in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Select + New IntegrationNew integration button.

  4. Click the Simple integration card Simple card.

  5. Add a Short Description of the integration Short description field.

  6. Select Mass Notification as the Trigger and HCMS as the Action Trigger and action dropdowns.

  7. Select the Application for the trigger and action Applications dropdowns.

  8. Select the applicable Credentials for each application Credentials dropdowns.

  9. Select Alert Sent from the Trigger Type drop-down and choose the Group from your Mass Notification instance that you wish to use when triggering an alert Alert type and group.

  10. Select the HCMS Content Type you wish to add the alert to Content type.

  11. Click NextNext button.

  12. Map fields from Mass Notification to the HCMS as needed by dragging and dropping the tiles or typing directly into the fieldMap fields.

    Note: The available Mass Notification fields may differ depending on your custom alert form.

    • Status: Choose whether to automatically publish the content in the HCMS or have it start in Draft status

    • Notify Users: If the status is set to Published, you can choose whether or not to send a notification when the alert is triggered. If you want to send a notification, fill out the email/SMS message information. Notify users.

  13. Click NextNext button.

  14. View an Overview and Test Instructions for your integration Test and confirm.

  15. Click SaveSave button.

  16. Enable your integration using the toggle under the Status column Enable integration toggle.

  17. Now that the integration is set up, you can send an alert in Mass Notification CivicReady alert example.

  18. The alert will then be sent to the specified HCMS Content Type Alert example in the HCMS.
