Released Enhancements
Changes to Sign-In Procedure Coming June 28, 2025
Starting June 28, 2025, all users who sign in must establish a password and authenticate through CivicPlus' Authentication solution.
No action is required until that time. Starting June 28th, upon signing in, you'll receive a prompt to check your email for a verification link. Clicking the link will take you through a one-time setup of your sign-in credentials.
This enhancement improves account security and simplifies the management of your account information. Thank you for your cooperation. A detailed user guide will be available soon.
Note:
If your organization already uses a custom (IdP) with another CivicPlus product, our Authentication solution will automatically detect your email and route you through your existing IdP. This enables seamless Single Sign-On across all your CivicPlus products.
Simplified MuniPRO Access for IP-Authenticated Users
We've simplified MuniPRO feature access for end users within IP Block-enabled environments. IP-authenticated users can now access MuniPRO functionality by clicking the "MuniPRO Search" button. Sign-in is not required.
"Commissions" Folder Added to MuniDocs
We've added a new top-level folder titled "Commissions" in MuniDocs. This helps support document organization and classification. The folder will appear in alphabetical order at the top level of MuniDocs. It will remain hidden from public view unless used.
Search Term Suggestions
We've introduced search term suggestions to improve result relevance for misspelled keywords. Mistyped code searches (such as "marijuna" instead of "marijuana") will prompt suggested alternatives. Clicking a suggestion will re-run the search using the corrected spelling. Applicable results will appear. This increases usability and aligns search behavior closer to legal research platforms. Search performance remains stable and responsive.
Accessibility Improvements
We continue to make updates as we work towards (WCAG) 2.2 (AA) Compliance Standards. These enhancements are part of our VPAT® initiative:
Visual and Structural Updates: We've applied proper heading structures and styling for links and buttons. We also improved button contrast.
Keyboard and Screen Reader Support: We've improved the Toastr element and modal accessibility. This includes focus management, semantic feedback, and tab navigation.
Site Semantics: We added language attributes for key pages, such as Dashboard, MuniDocs, and Notes Admin. We also added regions, landmarks, and a "Skip to Main Content" link to administrator views.
Modal Accessibility: We refactored many modals to improve screen reader and keyboard interactions. This helps ensure correct focus handling and state resets.
