Live Mode & Propose Mode

Prev Next

The toolbar is red if in Live Mode. In this mode, all changes made to the Table of Contents, or to the language once "Update" is pressed, are immediately published. The toolbar is green if in Propose Mode. In this mode, if changes are to occur within your publication:

  1. Select the appropriate proposal wherein these changes should occur. Each proposal becomes a separate document, so be sure to select the correct proposal.

  2. If no proposal exists, select "Add new proposal".

    • Changes affix themselves to the selected proposal listed in the toolbar.

    • Proposals may be viewed, edited, or deleted by other users within your organization.

    • Proposals remain unpublished until passed by selecting "3. Pass" and then following all the instructions in the modal.

    • Once a Proposal is officially passed, the changes created in Propose Mode now become "Live" code, and the proposal will no longer show up among your Proposal items.

    • Proposals, if passed by mistake, may be undone. To revert a proposal, select the "Revert" button found in the far-right column of your publication's "Document Library" (the gavel). Once reverted, the proposal will again be found among the other proposals and behave as if it had never been passed. Only one document at a time may be reverted. When reverting documents, be judicious.

The software remembers if a user is in Propose Mode or Live Mode. Always be sure the desired mode and/or proposal is selected before making changes.
