Editing text within tables in Propose mode behaves differently from how it behaves in tables in Live Mode. Following these instructions will make table editing consistent and understandable in Propose Mode.
Instructions
When creating Tables in Propose Mode:
Place the cursor on a new line;
Select the Table button, and the desired columns and rows;
Observe how the cursor falls beneath the new table and hit "enter/return" (once making the cursor green, this permits future content to follow the table);
Leave the green-bordered cells free of text, select "Update;"
Select "Edit" anew, which will ensure green & underlined text in your proposal and documents instead of black text;'
Input proposed text within the green-bordered cells.
When amending text within tables:
Avoid highlighting to replace text;
Place the cursor next to the undesirable text in the cell, hit "Backspace"/"Delete" until red lines appear as desired;
Place the cursor before the redline text in the cell, and input the proposed text until the green lines appear as desired;
Select "Update" to preserve your changes.
To preview your table, select the "Redline" button.
Note the placement of the cursor within an empty table cell, and the selection of the "Reject Change" button, will reject the entire table. Recovering the table requires "Undo"/"Cancel."
How to simplify Tables:
Consider one table per node. Reading stacked tables can be complex.
For complex tables, consider categorizing and separating the information into individual nodes.
Custom red/green hues within tables may conflict with the system's "Redline" hues.
Avoid the "Merge cells" function in Propose Mode, as it could change substantive meaning, and won't reveal redlines.
