View Amended Portions of Your Code with OrdLink

OrdLink is an enhancement to our OrdBank solution that links your pending legislation to the affected section of your online code. OrdLink helps alert staff and citizens as ordinances are adopted. It also leads them directly to the sections amended by the enacted but not yet codified legislation. This article will show you how to view amended portions of your code using OrdLink.

OrdLink is an enhancement to the OrdBank solution add-on. If you are interested in having access to the OrdBank and OrdLink, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for more information.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to your online code The Hometown, Florida, code home page.

  2. Navigate to the Adopted Ordinances Not Yet Codified list The Adopted Ordinances Not Yet Codified List.

  3. Select the desired ordinance from the Adopted Ordinances Not Yet Codified list An amending ordinance entry in the Adopted Ordinances Not Yet Codified list.

    Note:

    Entries for ordinances that affect existing portions of the code will include a note indicating how many sections have been amended.A sections amended note.

  4. Click the Amended Sections tab The Amended Sections tab.

  5. Select a section from the list The Amended Sections list.

  6. View the amended portion of the code An amended portion of the code.

    Note:

    You can identify sections of the code that have been amended using the Amended by tags within the code and the Amended tags within the Table of Contents.Amended and Amended by tags within the table of contents and the code.
