This article shows how to add buildings and lots to a parcel by searching for and editing a parcel. You can also add your buildings and lots when creating a parcel.

Add a Lot to a Parcel

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Go to Asset Management, expand Property Management, and select Search:Community Development - Elevate - Property Management, Search option.

  3. In the Search field, type the details of the property you want to edit, and search. Community Development - Elevate - Add Buildings and Lot, Search field.

    • Search Bar: This field allows you to search by Street Address, City or Town, Building or Suite ID, Owner Name, Occupant Name, or Parcel ID

  4. In the search results, find the property you are looking for. Then click the Edit Record icon: Community Development - Elevate - Edit Parcel, Edit Button.

  5. Navigate to the Additional Information section. Then find the Lots and Buildings section: Community Development - Elevate - Lots and Buildings section.

  6. Enter the number of lots you want to add in the Number of additional lots to be created field. Then click Add lot:Community Development - Elevate - Add Buildings and Lots - Add Lot.

  7. Click on Lots to expand the section. You will see your newly created lots or any existing ones: Community Development - Elevate - Add Buildings and Lots, Expand Lots.When lots are created, the system automatically assigns a Lot Name/Number. You can change it in the next step if you want to.

  8. Click on a Lot Name/Number to open its details. From here, you can add information to the lot: Community Development - Elevate - Add Buildings and Lots, Edit Lot.

    • Lot Name/Number: A unique name or number assigned to the lot for identification in records. When lots are created, the system automatically assigns a Lot Name/Number. You can change it in this step if you want to

    • Location: The general location or address description of the property

    • Number of Stories: Enter how many levels or floors the building has

    • City: Enter the name of the city where the property is located

    • State: Enter the state where the property is located

    • Zip: Enter the zip code for the property's location

    • Occupancy Class: Select how the building is used, such as residential, commercial, or industrial

    • Construction Class: Choose the construction type of the building, like wood, concrete, or steel

    • Notes: Add any additional information or special notes about the property that may be helpful

    • Add Occupant Contact: Use this option to enter details about the person or business currently occupying the property

  9. Click Update Record to save your lots. Community Development - Elevate - Add Buildings and Lots, Lot Update Record.
