Link Forms to Record Types and Subtypes

Forms can be linked to a record type or subtype, so they appear in the right place in Community Development. This setup is most often used to connect fillable forms to the correct record type for application purposes on the Citizen Portal.

For example, a fillable application form can be linked to a permit, license, planning and zoning record, or inspection type. This helps community members see and complete the correct form when they apply online. It also helps staff receive the submitted information in the right record area, which supports a clearer review process.

Linking forms correctly helps reduce confusion for staff and community members. It makes sure the right form is available for the right process and helps keep applications and records organized.
