Community Development uses quick reference icons to help users spot important conditions. These icons appear at the top of planning, zoning, project, permit, and fire or safety inspection records. They only show when certain conditions exist. The icons alert users to issues at the property or unit level. These issues may affect the current application or inspection. In some cases, the process may need to be paused or stopped based on the condition.
Icon Definitions
Complaint Icon: This icon shows that there are open complaints at the property level that have not been resolved. These complaints are linked to the record and may affect how the application is handled
Violation Icon: This icon shows that there are open violations at the property level. These violations have not been resolved and may affect the current record
Tax Payment Status: This icon tells staff that property taxes for the property have not been paid. The taxes are past due. In most cases, this information must be entered manually. However, if the system is set up to connect with the customer’s property tax system, the update can happen automatically and in real time. If the customer uses Community Development to manage property tax payments, this connection is turned on by default
Historical Property: This icon shows that the property is in a historic district or listed on a historical register. In most cases, this must be entered manually. If the system is set up to connect with assessor databases, the entry can happen automatically. Automatic updates also work if regular data imports include a field that marks the property as historic
