Void or Cancel a Permit | V4

If a permit must be closed and has not been issued, it must be voided or cancelled. If a permit status is set to closed, it will automatically generate a permit number, issue date, and expiration date.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to Community Development

  2. Click the Permitting System menu:Menu options for Community Development, highlighting the Permitting System feature.

  3. Click List:Menu options for a permitting system, highlighting the 'List' feature for navigation.

  4. Select a Permit:A Permit Number URL in the Permit # column of the Permits page.

  5. Click the Edit button:The permit details page shows options to edit and print the menu for a specific parcel.

  6. Click the Status dropdown menu:Form for permit general contractor details with the Status dropdown highlighted.

  7. Select the appropriate Status:

    Cancel permit status options include declined, abandoned, withdrawn, suspended, and expired.

    Note:

    Each of the listed Statuses will close a permit without generating a Permit Number.

    • Declined

    • Abandoned

    • Withdrawn

    • Suspended

    • Revoked

    • Void

    • Expired

  8. Click the Save Permit button:
