The Installations tab is your setup hub with everything you need to configure DocAccess. The checklist is broken into six steps, and each step will show a green checkmark when it is complete. You can come back to the checklist anytime, especially if you add a new domain to your account.

Step 1: Install On Your Sites
This step walks through how to add the helper script to your site. If you are using Agenda and Meeting Management Select or Web Central, the header script installation is already handled for you. If you’re on a different platform, click the tab to see specific installation instructions. See the Set Up DocAccess on Your Website article for more information regarding the helper scripts.

Step 2: Set Auto-Enablement Preferences
This step controls which documents are processed automatically without needing to be manually enabled for each document.

Inaccessible PDFs: Automatically enable DocAccess for PDF documents that do not meet accessibility standards. This is strongly tied to ADA compliance so we recommend leaving it on.
Accessible PDFs: Automatically enable DocAccess for PDFs on my site that have no detected accessibility issues. We recommend enabling this so all documents have the enhanced viewer experience.
Documents Hosted on Other Domains: Automatically enable DocAccess for PDFs hosted on external websites and linked on your site. We recommend enabling this for ADA compliance.
Large Documents: Allow automatic processing of documents over 1,000 pages when they meet your enablement criteria above. When disabled, large documents must be manually enabled. Documents over 1,000 pages are resource-intensive to process and can be difficult for users to navigate. We recommend remediating large documents upon request only.
Transcribe Content on Demand: By default, documents will be transcribed automatically if accessed by 2 or more visitors, if dated for 2025 or later, or when any public user requests it. You can click Settings to customize the configuration.

Step 3: Configure Acceleration
This is a setting your IT department can configure that lets DocAccess fetch documents directly from your servers using a fixed set of outbound IP addresses in a consistent user agent. DocAccess still works without this, but enabling it makes document processing faster and more predictable. You can copy the email request draft and send it to your IT team.

Once your IT team confirms the change:
Navigate to the Control Center
Click the Settings icon next to a domain

Select the File Fetch tab and click Turn Acceleration On

Step 4: Configure Your Domain Preferences and Branding
Upload your logo, align your color scheme, and customize how DocAccess functions by adjusting the settings on each of your domains on the Control Center tab.

Step 5: Get Training
The Training Center has short, self-serve lessons with knowledge checks, one track for everyday users and one for administrators. The Video Guides cover the most common DocAccess tasks in short walkthrough videos.
You can also see upcoming live webinars and view past webinar recordings.

Step 6: Celebrate and Share
Generate a press release that includes the total number of pages and documents you’ve now made accessible that you can share with your community.
