Decline a Submitted Content Element

Any user with publishing power is able to decline a submitted content element.

Who can use this feature?

Instructions

  1. Sign in to the HCMS

  2. Navigate to the Content tab and select a Content Type Navigation menu showing content types including Event, Article, and Employee options.

  3. Locate the content element Table displaying content statuses, highlighting 'Submitted' and 'Published' entries.

    Note:

    Items awaiting approval will be marked with a blue dot.

  4. Select the Action Menu (three dots) on the item and select Change to DeclinedThe Changed to Declined status option in the dropdown.

  5. Choose when to decline the item and click ConfirmDialog box for changing content status to declined with options and confirm button.

    • Set to Declined immediately: The item will be declined once you select Confirm

    • Set to Declined at a later date and time: Select a future date and time to decline the item

  6. The item will now show as Declined in the list Table displaying content statuses, highlighting a declined item and its details.
