CivicPlus Platform Now Supports SAML 2.0
The CivicPlus Platform now supports SAML 2.0 as an available standard for Single Sign-On (SSO).
SAML 2.0 (Security Assertion Markup Language) is an open standard used for Single Sign-On. It allows a user to log into one system and gain access to multiple other systems without having to enter their credentials again.
SAML works by passing XML-based digital "assertions" between two parties:
The Identity Provider (IdP): This is the system that holds the user's identity and password (for example, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD).
The Service Provider (SP): This is the application the user wants to access (in this case, the CivicPlus Platform).
Contact CivicPlus Support for help configuring or troubleshooting an IdP with SAML.
