The CivicPlus Platform supports SAML 2.0 as an available standard for SSO.
SAML 2.0 is an open standard used for Single Sign-On. It allows a user to log into one system and gain access to multiple other systems without having to enter their credentials again.
SAML works by passing XML-based digital "assertions" between two parties:
Identity Provider (IdP): This is the system that holds the user's identity and password (for example, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD)
Service Provider (SP): This is the application the user wants to access (in this case, the CivicPlus Platform)
Requirements
Microsoft Entra ID with Enterprise Applications enabled
Administrative access to Microsoft Entra ID
Access to Organization Service
A unique email domain for the organization
At least one test user assigned to the Entra ID application

Important Note
CivicPlus does not support customer-side Microsoft Entra ID administration or setup.
