How does CivicPlus Payments reporting work?
Using CivicPlus Payments to collect payments will also give you the ability to view ongoing payment transactions and completed deposits without ever leaving CivicPlus. Payments Report
Your Payments report will show the list of all transactions and their status, so you can track the status of your payments. For instructions on how to access your Payments Report, view our Access & Export CivicPlus Payments Reports article.
Payment Status
Below is what each payment status refers to, so you know where your money is at all times.
Payment Status | Meaning |
---|---|
Created | Pay-in was created and waiting approval. This is an interim state. |
Authorized | Pay-in is authorized for processing. |
Presenting | Pay-in has been presented on a terminaldevice and waiting for the user to process thepay-in on the device. This is an interim state. |
Processing | Pay-in was approved and is currentlyprocessing. This is an interim state. |
Succeeded | Pay-in has completed processing and the fundsare available for deposit. |
Failed | Pay-in unsuccessfully attempted to process. |
Cancelled | Pay-in unsuccessfully attempted to process. |
In Review | Pay-in has been flagged for risk review. |
Transaction Details
If you click into the details of each transaction, you will find more details about the transaction including any decline codes, CVV (Card Verification Value), AVS (Address Verification Service), and more.
Deposits Report
By default, the screen shows a summary of deposits and will align with what you should expect to see on your bank account statements. Clicking into a deposit will break down the deposit, including transactions, refunds, adjustments, and fees. This report will save you time when it comes to reconciling your money movements. Can I export reports?
Yes. You can easily export your Payments and Deposits reports directly from the Payments Portal. For instructions on how to find and export your report, view our Access & Export CivicPlus Payments Reports article.
How do I find a transaction?
Follow the instructions in the Access & Export CivicPlus Payments Reports article to navigate to the desired report and locate the transaction you wish to view. Click the transaction's line item to view additional details in a side panel.
How far back can we view transaction history?
You will have access to your transaction history indefinitely.
Why was my transaction declined?

What decline code details may appear on transactions?
The following Decline Reasons that would display on transactions include:
Declined
Do not honor
Expired card
Fraudulent card
Incorrect payment information
Insufficient funds
Invalid card security code
Invalid expiration date
Invalid PIN
Lost card
No card number on file with issuer
Can we split date and time into separate columns in the report?
This is not something that can be done today and is not currently on our roadmap, however, we have noted your request. In the interim, you could export the data into a CSV file and split it out in Excel or another spreadsheet program.
Can we limit who has access to these reports?
Users must be granted permissions to the payment reports to access that view. We will work with you to grant access to the users you specify.
