Duplicate Transactions For Braintree

Braintree has a way for you to decline duplicate transactions. This prevents the second transaction from being successful. Payments does not control whether a transaction is a duplicate or not.
Instructions
Navigate to Settings and select Processing
Locate Duplicate Transaction Checking under Transactions and click Options
Configure the number of seconds for duplicate transaction checking and click Save
