Access and Complete Tasks in the CivicReady App

This article will show how to access task lists and complete assigned tasks within the CivicReady mobile app.

Important Note

The images in this article depict the CivicReady App as used on an iPhone.

Access a Task List

  1. Ensure you are logged into the CivicReady app

  2. Tap the drawer menu icon The CivicReady App drawer menu button, which is an icon made of up of three white, stacked horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Tap the Assigned Tasks option under the Incident Management section The Assigned Tasks option within the Incident Management section of the CivicReady App drawer menu.

  4. Tap the My Tasks or Assigned to Others tab The My Tasks and Assigned to Others tabs at the top of the Assigned Tasks screen.

    • My Tasks tab: View task lists that have been assigned to you The My Tasks tab and an example assigned task.

    • Assigned to Others tab: View task lists that have been assigned to other users The Assigned to Others tab and an example list of tasks.

  5. Tap the desired task list An example task list highlighted on the My Tasks tab.

  6. View the details and assigned tasks for the selected task list An example Selected Task List screen with task list details and tasks.

    • Task List Title and Subtitle: The title and subtitle (if applicable) of the task list; you can tap this field to hide and expand the Incident, Assigned By, Created On, and Assigned To fields

    • Incident: Tap this field to see the Incident Event Summary for the named incident associated with the task list, if applicable

    • Assigned By: The user who assigned this task list

    • Created On: The date and time the task list was created in the solution

    • Assigned To: The user or users who have been assigned to complete the task list

    • Tasks: The task or tasks that make up the task list

Skip or Complete an Assigned Task

  1. Ensure you are logged into the CivicReady app

  2. Tap the drawer menu icon The CivicReady App drawer menu button, which is an icon made of up of three white, stacked horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Tap the Assigned Tasks option under the Incident Management section The Assigned Tasks option within the Incident Management section of the CivicReady App drawer menu.

  4. Tap the My Tasks or Assigned to Others tab The My Tasks and Assigned to Others tabs at the top of the Assigned Tasks screen.

    • My Tasks tab: View task lists that have been assigned to you The My Tasks tab and an example assigned task.

    • Assigned to Others tab: View task lists that have been assigned to other users The Assigned to Others tab and an example list of tasks.

  5. Tap the desired task list An example task list highlighted on the My Tasks tab.

  6. View the details and assigned tasks for the selected task list An example Selected Task List screen with task list details and tasks.

    • Task List Title and Subtitle: The title and subtitle (if applicable) of the task list; you can tap this field to hide and expand the Incident, Assigned By, Created On, and Assigned To fields

    • Incident: Tap this field to see the Incident Event Summary for the named incident associated with the task list, if applicable

    • Assigned By: The user who assigned this task list

    • Created On: The date and time the task list was created in the solution

    • Assigned To: The user or users who have been assigned to complete the task list

    • Tasks: The task or tasks that make up the task list

  7. Tap a task to view the details of the task An example task on the Selected Task List screen.

  8. Add Task Comments if desired The Add Task Comments field and Send button on the Task Details screen.

    1. Tap the Add Task Comments text box and enter your comments The Add Task Comments text box above a pop-up mobile phone keyboard.

    2. Tap the Send button to add the task comments to the task A white, rectangular Send button to the right of the Add Task Comments text box and above a pop-up mobile phone keyboard.

  9. Tap the Skip button to skip the task, if desired A white, rectangular Skip button below the task description.

    • On the Skip this Task pop-up that appears, tap the Skip button to confirm the skip A white, rectangular Skip button on a Skip this Task pop-up box.

  10. Tap the Complete button to mark the task as complete, if desired A green, rectangular Complete button below the task description.

    • On the Complete this Task pop-up that appears, tap the Complete button to confirm the completion A white, rectangular Complete button on a Complete this Task pop-up box.

  11. A task status banner will appear at the top of the Task Details screen, and any task actions will appear in the Task Activity section A green, rectanuglar Task Completed banner and a status message in the Task Activity section.

  12. Tap the back arrow to return to the Selected Task List screen A white left arrow above a Task Completed banner and to the left of the Task Details header.

  13. The task status and task activity will now appear on the Selected Task List screen A green, circular check mark icon to the left of a task status message on the Selected Task List screen.
