Create a Generic Incident

An incident is a feature to associate alerts with. You have to have a Generic Incident type before you can create new incidents. This article will show you how to create a Generic Incident.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site if you haven’t already

  2. Navigate to Incidents Incidents option in the navigation menu.

  3. Select the Generic Incidents tab Generic Incidents tab.

  4. Click the Add button (green circle and white plus icon) Green plus icon.

  5. Enter an Incident Name Incident Name field.

    Note:

    This field is required.

  6. Select a Priority Priority options.

    • Emergency: Select if this generic incident will be associated with emergency events

    • Non-emergency: Select if this generic incident will be associated with non-emergency events

  7. Select a Tone, if desired Tone options.

    • Use Loud Tone: Toggle this option on to use a loud tone alert

    • Loud Tone for Replies: Toggle this option on to use a loud tone alert for replies (Use Loud Tone must be toggled on to activate this option)

      Note:

      This field is optional.

  8. Click Save to save your Generic Incident Save button.
