Create and Manage Custom Views

In the Analytics module, the main data display is called a view. The Analytics module will present a generic default view to which you can add filters and data fields to create custom reports. This article will show you how to create, rename, and delete Custom Views.

Create a Custom View

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Analytics module:

  3. Navigate to the Views dropdown and select an existing view from the list to work from, if desired:

  4. Click the Data Fields button to add custom data fields, if desired:

    1. Select the desired category on the left side of the Edit Columns modal:

      Data field categories which can be clicked to display lists of related data field checkboxes.

    2. Check or uncheck the checkboxes next to the Data Fields (columns) you desire to add or remove for your view:

      Note:

      To view all available data fields for a category, check the Select All checkbox:

    3. Click the Refresh View button:

  5. Click the Filters button to add or remove filters, if desired:

    Note:

    The data fields, conditions, and conditional options available in the filter dropdowns will depend on your organization's settings and the parameters of your current view.

    1. Click the Add Filter button to add a filter, as needed:

      1. Type or select a Data Field from the dropdown list:

      2. Type or select a Condition from the dropdown list:

      3. Type or select an option from the conditional option dropdown list, if applicable:

      4. Click the Apply button:

    2. Or click the Delete button (red trash can icon) to the right of a set of filters to remove the filters from the view:The white, rectangular button with a red trash can icon that can be clicked to remove view filters.

  6. Click the Save View button:

  7. Fill in the Save View information fields:

    • View Name: Enter a unique name for the analytics view

    • View Access: Select Private to Me to save this view for your personal use only

  8. Check the My Default View checkbox to make this the default view of your Analytics module, if desired:

  9. Click the Save View button to save your custom view:

  10. Your custom view will now appear as an option in your Views dropdown under My Saved Views:

Rename a Custom View

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Analytics module:

  3. Click the Views dropdown list and select the desired custom view from the My Saved Views section:

  4. Click the Manage View button:

  5. Edit the View name in the Rename View field:

  6. Click the Save View button:

  7. Your edited custom view will appear as an option in your Views dropdown under My Saved Views:

Delete a Custom View

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Analytics module:

  3. Click the Views dropdown list and select the custom view you wish to delete under My Saved Views:

  4. Click the Manage View button:

  5. Click the Delete button:

  6. Click the Delete View button on the Delete View popup that appears to confirm the deletion:

  7. The custom view has been deleted
