Select an Item Layout

This article will show you how to edit the layout and format of Item Titles in agendas.

Important Note

You must have the “Select Items – Layout” permission enabled in your Security Profile to select an item layout.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to the system if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Meetings module:
    The Meetings Module option in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Select the agenda containing the section you wish to edit:

  4. Click the Select button:

  5. Check the boxes next to the items you wish to edit or click Select All to select all items and sections:

  6. Click the Layout button:
    The white, rectangular Layout button to the right of the Back to Agenda button.

  7. Select Prev and Next when editing multiple item layouts to navigate between the selected items:
    The purple, rectangular Previous and Next buttons.

  8. Click the Edit Layout button to customize the HTML of the active item layout (Current Layout), if desired:

    1. Click the text field to update the content of the item layout:

    2. Use the text formatting, paragraph formatting, and table wizard tools to customize your layout, if desired:

      The HTML Layout text box and the green, rectangular Select Layout button between the Previous and Next and Edit Layout buttons.

      Note:

      Editing the HTML layout allows you to customize the way an item is formatted on the agenda but is not required.

    3. Click the Save Changes button to save the HTML layout updates:

    4. This updated layout is now the “Current Layout” for the item

  9. Or apply a different layout to the selected item, if desired:

    1. Click the Layout field and choose an option from the dropdown list:
      The Layout dropdown list and options.

    2. Click the Select Layout button to apply the layout to the selected item:
      The green, rectangular Select Layout button between the Previous and Next and Edit Layout buttons.

      Notes:

      • The Select Layout button will only appear if the selected layout differs from the Current Layout displayed at the bottom of the screen.

      • You can also click the Edit Layout button to update this newly selected layout.

  10. Click the Close Window button to exit the Edit Layout dialog and return to editing your agenda:

    Note:

    The agenda layout will only change for associated events.

  11. Agendas and agenda packets will now appear formatted with your desired layout

  12. Click the Back to Agenda button to return to the Agenda view when you are done making changes:

    The gray, rectangular Back to Agenda button below the meeting name which can be clicked to return to the Agenda View.
