View and Export Written Comments Analytics

Public Engagement Suite data around Item Comments can be viewed and exported for reporting.

Important Note

Public Engagement Suite analytics can only be accessed if the Public Engagement Suite add-on has been enabled. For more information or to enable the feature, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.

View Written Comments Data

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Analytics module:

    The Analytics module button in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Click the Data Fields button to add Written Comments data fields to your view:

  4. Select the Written Comments category on the left side of the Edit Columns modal:

    The Written Comments data field category which can be clicked to display a list of related data field checkboxes.

  5. Check the checkboxes next to the Data Fields (columns) you wish to add to your view:

    Note:

    To view all available Written Comments data fields, check the Select All checkbox:

  6. Select other categories on the left side of the Edit Columns modal and make additional selections, if desired:

  7. Click the Refresh View button:

  8. Written Comments data will appear in the analytics view based on the Data Fields (columns) you selected:

    Note:

    You can click a column’s name to sort its entries alphanumerically:

  9. Click the Filters button to add filters that further narrow down your data, if desired:

    1. Click the Add Filter button:

    2. Type or select a Data Field from the dropdown list:

    3. Type or select a Condition from the dropdown list:

    4. Type or select an option from the conditional option dropdown list, if applicable:

    5. Click the Add Filter button to add additional filters, if needed:

    6. Click the Apply button:

    7. Filtered results will appear:

      An updated Analytics module Views page with filtered written comments data.

  10. Click the Save View button to save this data as a custom view that can be pulled later without manually selecting data fields and filters, if desired:

    1. Fill in the Save View information fields:

      • View Name: Enter a unique name for the analytics view

      • View Access: Select Private to Me to save this view for your personal use only, or select Share with Organization to save this as an organization view

    2. If desired, check the My Default View checkbox to make this the default view of your Analytics module:

    3. Click the Save View button to save the view with your customizations:

    4. Your custom Written Comments view will now appear as an option in your Views dropdown:

Export Written Comments Data

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Analytics module:

    The Analytics module button in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Click the Views dropdown list and select a view to export, if desired:

  4. Click the Data Fields button to add custom data fields to your view, if desired:

  5. Select the Writtent Comments category on the left side of the Edit Columns modal:

  6. Check the checkboxes next to the Data Fields (columns) you wish to add to your view, if desired:

    Notes:

    • If you selected a saved view in step 3, some checkboxes may already be checked.

    • To view all available Written Comments data fields, check the Select All checkbox:

  7. Select other categories on the left side of the Edit Columns modal and make additional selections, if desired:

  8. Click the Refresh View button:

  9. Written Comments data will appear in the analytics view based on the Data Fields (columns) you selected:

  10. Click the Filters button to add filters, if desired:

    2. Type or select a Data Field from the dropdown list:

    3. Type or choose a Condition from the dropdown list:

    4. Type or select an option from the conditional option dropdown list, if applicable:

    5. Click the Add Filter button to add additional filters, if needed:

    6. Click the Apply button:

    7. The selected filters will be applied

  11. Click the Export View button:

    The purple, rectangular Export View button below the Help Center button.

  12. Navigate to the Export to: field, then type or select CSV or XLSX to indicate the desired file type for your exported view:

  13. Click the Export View button:

  14. Your view will export automatically and appear in your computer's Downloads folder

  15. Click the Cancel button to close the Export View modal:
