Add Custom Code to the Page Footer

This article will show you how to add custom code to a content container in the page footer.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Navigate to the page you would like to add custom code to

  3. Ensure that the Live Edit toggle is set to on: The Live Edit status icon set to ON on the Administrative User dashboard bar.

  4. Hover over the footer container that you wish to edit and click the Container Inheritance Options button:A footer container with the Container Inheritance Options (lock) icon highlighted.

    • Note: For an entire section, edit the Container from which all other containers are inherited. In this example you would select the Go to Interior - Layout Page option: The expanded Container Inheritance Options box with the Go to Interior - Layout Page option highlighted.

    • Note: For one specific page, select the Stop Inheritance option to disable Container inheritance for the footer: The Container Inheritance box with the Stop Inheritance option highlighted.

  5. Select the Start With A Copy of the Current Container option: The Container Inheritance Options box, with the Start with a Copy of the Current Container option highlighted.

  6. On the Live Edit Pane, select the Widgets tab: The Live Edit tabs with the Widgets tab highlighted.

  7. On the Widgets tab, select the Content tab:The Live Edit pane expanded on the Widgets tab, with the Content sub-tab highlighted.

  8. From the Content tab options, click and drag a Custom HTML widget to the footer area:A Custom HTML widget is being drag-and-dropped onto a page in the Footer area.

  9. Add whatever custom code is desired to the Custom HTML widget:The Custom HTML widget on a page with the field open for editing.

  11. Click either the Save or Save as Copy button:The Save and Save as Copy buttons for saving page changes.

    • Save: This saves the current changes to the page

    • Save as Copy: This saves the current changes to the page as a new version
