Add Custom Code to the Page Footer

This article will show you how to add custom code to a content container in the page footer.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your Web Central site. Website preferences may change what this looks like, but adding "/admin" to your website's URL will take you to a sign-in screen.

  2. Navigate to the page you would like to add custom code to

  3. Ensure that the Live Edit toggle is set to on: Live Edit option toggled on.

  4. Hover over the footer container that you wish to edit and click the Container Inheritance Options button: Container Inheritance Options button.

    • Note: For an entire section, edit the Container from which all other containers are inherited. In this example you would select the Go to Interior - Layout Page option: Go to interior layout page option.

    • Note: For one specific page, select the Stop Inheritance option to disable Container inheritance for the footer: Stop inheritance option.

  5. Select the Start With A Copy of the Current Container option: Start with copy of the current container option.

  6. On the Live Edit Pane, select the Widgets tab: Widgets tab of the Live Edit Pane.

  7. On the Widgets tab, select the Content tab: Content tab of the Widgets tab.

  8. From the Content tab options, click and drag a Custom HTML widget to the footer area: Drag and drop a Custom Html widget.

  9. Add whatever custom code is desired to the Custom HTML widget: Text field for entering custom code in the Custom Html widget.

  10. Click the Done button: Done button.

  11. Click either the Save or Save as Copy button: Save and Save as Copy buttons.

    • Save: This saves the current changes to the page

    • Save as Copy: This saves the current changes to the page as a new version
