This article will show you how to use Filters to perform an Advanced Search of your site and find more specific results. Advanced search options allow you to filter results by multiple keywords and phrases, and even by module or content type.

Instructions
Navigate to your website homepage:
Note:
You do not need to be logged into your website to use the advanced search options.
Navigate to the Site Search function in the center of your website homepage:
Enter keywords or other search terms into the search box, then click the search button (magnifying glass icon):
You will be redirected to the Search page:
Click the Advanced Search link below the search box to expand the advanced search options if they are not already open:
Note:
If your Site Search module has the Auto-Expand Advanced Search setting enabled, the advanced search options will automatically appear during a basic search. You will not need to click the Advanced Search link, and you can skip to Step 6.
Fill in the desired Advanced Search fields:
All these words: find pages containing all keywords (enter keywords, separated by single spaces).
This exact word or phrase: find pages containing the exact keywords, in the order written (enter keywords for exact phrases in quotes).
Any of these words: find pages containing any of the keywords (enter OR between each word).
None of these words: prevent pages from appearing that contain the keywords (enter a minus sign followed by a word).
Content Type: Select an option from the drop-down list to narrow the search to a single module, if desired:
All Content: Searches for keywords within all website modules
Activities: Searches for keywords within the Activities module
Agendas: Searches for keywords within the Agenda Center
Alerts: Searches for keywords within the Alert Center
Bids: Searches for keywords within the Bid Postings module
Calendar: Searches for keywords within the Calendar module
Documents: Searches for keywords within the Document Center
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions): Searches for keywords within the FAQs module
Forms: Searches for keywords within the Form Center module
Images: Searches for keywords within Public Images (if these have not been hidden from search)
Jobs: Searches for keywords within the Jobs module
News: Searches for keywords within the News Flash module
People: Searches for keywords within the Staff Directory
Places: Searches for keywords within the Locations module
Social: Searches for keywords within the Community Voice module
Webpages: Searches for keywords within the Pages module
Note:
The Content Type filter allows you to search for keywords within a single module. However, you can only narrow your search to one module at a time.
Click the Submit Search button (magnifying glass icon) to run the advanced search:
