Edit the Alt Text for a Banner Image

In this article, you will learn how to edit the Alt Text for a banner image.

Important Notes

  • A banner image's alt text is set when the image is first uploaded to the website.

  • Most banner images are considered decorative and do not require alt text.

Edit the Alt Text

  1. Sign in to your website solution.

  2. Navigate to the page with the banner you want to add Alt Text to.

  3. Make sure that Live Edit is On: CivicPlus interface showing Municipal Websites Central with live editing feature activated.

  7. Click the Choose Image button: An interface showing options to choose and upload a new image for a banner.

  8. Locate the image you want to add the Alt text to. Click the Actions menu icon next to the image: A list of banner images with options to insert and view details for each item. The actions button is highlighted.

  9. Select Modify from the list of options: A list of city skylines with a highlighted option to modify an entry.

  10. Enter the image's Alt Text: A form for uploading a banner image titled 'Dallas Skyline Day 3'.

  11. Click the Save button: A form for uploading images with a highlighted save button.

  12. The Banner Image's alt text will update automatically.
