Hide or Unhide a Page

This article will show you how to hide or show (unhide) a page from the menu view.

Important Note:

If you choose to hide the page from the menu, it can still be found if users click on a direct link or use the search function. The page will not appear in the navigation options.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your site

  2. Navigate to the page you want to hide or unhide

  3. Ensure your Live Edit Is On:The Live Edit status for a page is toggled to ON and highlighted.

  4. Click on that page's Properties tab:CivicPlus Municipal Websites Central interface showing properties and actions for website management. The properties tab is highlighted.

  5. Select an option from the Hidden drop-down menu:The Live Edit panel on the Properties tab with the Hidden drop-down menu expanded and the menu options highlighted.

    Note:

    To unhide a page, simply unselect any of the options.

    • Hide from all site menus, search, and site map: Hide the page from displaying in all site menus, search, and the site map

    • Hide from all site menus only: Hide the page from displaying in site menus, but still show it in search and the site map

    • Hide from mega menus only: Hide the page from Pages widgets and mega menus, but not secondary navigation or the site map

      Note:

      Selecting a page to be hidden will also hide it in other pages widgets

  6. Click Save Page Changes:The Save Page Changes button is highlighted on the Properties tab of the Live Edit panel.
