Import Agenda Center Subscribers

This article will show you how to import subscriber information into the Agenda Center.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site.

  2. Navigate to Modules, select Content, then click Agenda Center:

  3. Select the desired category:

  4. Click the Go to Subscribers button:

  5. Select the Import Subscriptions button:

    The Agenda Center interface shows options to import subscriptions and manage user details. The Import Subscriptions tab is highlighted.

  6. Select Choose File to import your file of subscribers:

    • Skip Confirmation Process: Check the box to certify that the users have manually confirmed to receive notifications for this list

      Important Note:

      Subscribers are required to confirm their subscription before receiving notifications. Failure to comply with this regulation could result in loss of ability to send any notification through your website, or fines to your organization. If imported subscribers have already confirmed their request to receive your notifications, you may automatically confirm them by selecting the checkbox.

    • File Format: The file must be a text file with a file name extension of .TXT or .CSV

    • Format Rules:

      • Fields must be comma-delimited or tab-delimited

      • Each subscriber record must be on a separate line

      • All three fields must be included for every record, even if one field is blank

      • Only the SMS Number field may be left empty

      • Blank lines are allowed and are ignored during import

      • Duplicate entries are ignored

    • Fields (In Order):

      • Email Address: Limited to 255 characters

      • SMS Number: Should be empty, or in formats ########## or ###-###-####

      • Subscription Type: Limited to values of Email, SMS, or Both

    • Notes:

      • New subscribers receive HTML email notifications

      • Existing subscribers keep their current notification format preference

      • Existing subscriptions are not removed during the import

    • File Sample:

      • brian@example.org, 555-555-0110, both

      • mari@example.org, 555-555-0112, sms

      • sundeep@example.org, 555-555-0115, email

      • chris@example.org, email

      • akila@example.org, 555-555-0117, both

  7. Select the file you want to import. Click the Open button:

  8. Click the Import File button:

  9. View the import summary:A summary of imported email and SMS subscriptions.

  10. View the list of imported subscribers:

    A list of active subscribers with email addresses and SMS numbers displayed in a table.

    Note:

    The list of subscribers is available immediately only if you selected the Skip Confirmation Process box during the import process.
