Import Blog Subscribers

This article will show you how to import a file with a list of your subscribers into the Blog .

Who can use this feature?

System Administrators | Owners

File Format

The file must be a text file with a file name extension ".TXT" or ".CSV".

Format Rules

  • Fields must be tab or comma-delimited.

  • Each record should be placed on a separate line.

  • All fields must be present, even if empty.

  • Only the SMS Number may be empty.

  • Blank lines are allowed/ignored.

  • Duplicate entries will be ignored.

Fields (In Order)

  1. Email Address - Limited to 255 characters.

  2. SMS Number - Should be empty, or in formats ########## or ###-###-####.

  3. Subscription Type - Limited to values "email", "sms", "both" (without quotes).

Important Notes

  • New subscribers will receive HTML emails.

  • Existing subscribers will keep their format preferences.

  • Existing subscriptions will not be removed.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Modules. Click on Content, then Blognavigate to the blog module

  3. Select Choose an Action, then click Subscribers next to the desired category blog category, choose an action drop-down menu, subscribers

  4. Select Import Subscriptionsblog category, import subscriptions button

  5. Select Choose File to import your file of subscribers import subscribers pop-up, choose file button

    Note:

    Also, click Skip Confirmation Process if imported subscribers have already confirmed their request to receive your notifications.

  6. Select and click Open for your desired file find and open desired CSV or TXT file

  7. Click Import File import subscribers pop-up, import file button

  8. View your imported subscribers view the imported subscribers
