Pending Messages

Notifications appear in the Pending Messages tab if the content is scheduled to be published in the future or because the notification is scheduled to be sent a specified number of days in advance of a date. Users can also modify the schedule and cancel pending messages.

Modify a Pending Message

  1. Sign in to your organization's Notifications Admin site (http://notifications.civicplus.com/[orgname]/admin)

  2. Navigate to the Pending Messages tab The Pending Messages tab in the Notifications Admin navigation menu.

    • You can also access it by going to Subscription Lists, selecting the Action Menu, and selecting Pending Messages for a listSubscription Lists interface showing the pending messages option under the actions menu next to a list.

  3. Click Actions and select Modify next to the pending message Pending Messages section showing a new employee notification with 'Modify' selected in the actions menu.

  4. Update the Notification settings Notification options for newly published content.

    • Do not send: Choose if you don't wish to send a notification

    • Send now: Select to send the notification now

    • Send based on eventdate field: Send the notification based on the date of your item

      Note: This option will only display for Event Content Types.

  5. Click NextNotification options for newly published content with a highlighted 'Next' button.

  6. Configure Notification DetailsNotification details for a new event with email and SMS options displayed.

    Note: These will vary depending on the option selected.

    • Email Subject: Modify the subject line for the email notification

    • Email Introduction: Add an introduction to your email notification, the content of the item will be displayed below this

    • Text Message (SMS): Edit the text message that will be sent. Long messages will be split into multiple text messages and a link to the item will be included at the end of your message.

  7. Click Done The Done button on the pending message details screen.


Cancel a Pending Message

  1. Sign in to your organization's Notifications Admin site (http://notifications.civicplus.com/[orgname]/admin)

  2. Navigate to the Pending Messages tab The Pending Messages tab in the Notifications Admin navigation menu.

  3. Select Actions and select Cancel next to your desired message Pending messages section showing a new employee notification with Cancel selected in the actions menu.

  4. Click OK on the pop-up that says Are you sure you want to cancel this notification?Confirmation dialog asking to cancel a notification with an OK button highlighted.
