This article will show you how to publish an alert.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrators | Owners | Publishers

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site.

  2. Navigate to Modules. Click on Content, and then Alert Center:

    The navigation menu highlights the Alert Center option in the Municipal Websites Central interface.

  3. Select the category the alert is in:

    The Alert Center displays various alert categories with Emergency Alert highlighted.

  4. Locate the alert that is in draft status:

  5. Click the Actions button:

  6. Select Publish:

  7. A notification window opens. Configure the notification options:

    • Subject: Add a brief subject line

    • Comments: Enter additional information to include in the notification

    • Mobile Text or Push Message: Enter the message sent to SMS subscribers

    • Include link to item: Includes a link to the item in the SMS message that users can select on their mobile device

    • Send

      • On Start Date: Send the notification on the alert start date

      • Immediately: Send the notification immediately after publishing

    • Select Send, Don’t Send, or Cancel: The notification is then sent to everyone who subscribed to the selected Alert Center category through Notify Me®
