Save Optimized Images

This article will show you how to save optimized images from Public Images (formerly Public Assets) to your computer. When images are uploaded to Public Images, files are compressed using an image compression algorithm to attempt to reduce their file size. This algorithm can reduce image size by about 90%.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select the Document Center option Modules menu, Document Center.

  3. Click the Public Images button Public Images tab.

  4. Click on the folder with your desired image An example images folder.

  5. Click the Actions button (three vertical dots icon) next to the image you want to move and select the Copy Link option The Copy Link option within the Actions menu.

  6. Click the Copy button to the right of the full link (bottom link) A blue, rectangular Copy button on the Copy Link dialog box.

  7. Paste the full link into your web browser and press the Enter key on your keyboard An example image URL pasted into a browser address bar.

  8. Right-click the image, select the Save Image option in the context menu that appears, then follow your browser's instructions The Save image as context menu option.

  9. The image will be saved to your computer
