Search Module Properties

This article will show you the Properties within the Search module.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

Instructions

1. Sign in to your site

2. Navigate to Modules and on the Site Tools tab, select Search:

3. Select the Properties tab:

4. View the Properties:

   • Admin Name: Administrative name of the module; used in the drop-down menu and while editing the module

   • Header Display: Controls whether the module header will appear on the front end

   • Boost Field Search Ranking: Indexed item fields will be weighted based on these values. Values should be in JSON format. If the format is invalid, all fields will default to 1.

   • Header Text: Create header text

     • Refresh Preview: View front-end display

   • Footer Text: Create footer text

     • Refresh Preview: View front-end display

   • Public Name: The name that will be publicly displayed for this module

   • Auto-Expand Advanced Search: Controls whether Advanced Search options are expanded automatically for search results

   • Auto-Complete: Controls whether search suggestions are presented to the user when typing into the search input

     Note:

     We recommend this be turned off for ADA compliance.

5. Click the Save Changes button:
