Stream Live from Browser with Go Live

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select CivicPlus Video

  3. Click Go Live in the top right corner of your landing page

  4. Choose the Channel you wish to go live on

  5. Select your Microphone and Camera

  6. Select your Language
    The Language drop-down in the right corner of the live stream page.

  7. Click Open Stage
    Open Stage button on the right side of the live stream page.

  8. Click the information (i) icon in the bottom right corner and copy the Room Link to share with co-hosts

  9. Manage room settings as needed by clicking the Settings (gear) icon

    • Camera

      • Mirror Camera: Mirror your local camera view horizontally

      • Fill Camera: Fill the entire tile with your camera (crop) or show the original aspect ratio

    • Translation

      • Text Transcription: Fill the entire tile with your camera (crop) or show the original aspect ratio

      • Text Translation: Enable real-time text translation for all participants

      • AI Voice Translation: Enable real-time AI voice translation for all participants

    • Auto-Recording: Enable automatic recording of your live streams

    • Room Layout: Choose how participants are displayed in the room (grid or presentation style)

  10. Set the Speakers

  11. Adjust the microphone and camera settings, or turn on/off your microphone and camera

  12. Click Share Screen to share your screen with participants

  13. Choose the applicable Tab, Window, or Screen and click Share

    Note:

    For tabs and entire screens, you can choose to share your tab or system audio as well.

  14. Click Open Participants to view the list of users on the live stream

  15. Click Open Chat to view messages and chat with participants

  16. To share media, select the Open Media button and search your library for videos or channels to send to the live event

  17. Select the play icon on a video to play it on your live stream

  18. Select the stop icon to finish playing the video

  19. Click the Leave Stage button to exit the live stream

  20. Click Close Stage to end the live stream for everyone
    A prompt asking to confirm closing the stage with options to cancel or proceed.
