Use Traceroute on Mac

Traceroute is a software tool used to display the path and some basic information about the network path between two addresses.

Instructions

  1. Select Finder, click Go, then click Applications The button labeled Finder, to the right of the Apple logo, then Go, then Applications in the drop-down list.

  2. Scroll down and open the Utilities folder The folder labeled Utilities.

  3. Scroll down and open the Terminal app The app labeled Terminal.

  4. Type "traceroute "

  5. Hit Enter and wait for completion

  6. Copy the results and paste into a text file

  7. Submit the text file for analysis
