Cybersource Payment Setup

Note: The Cybersource integration will be deprecated soon. We recommend using our CivicPlus Payments integration.

NextRequest can connect to a CyberSource Secure Acceptance Profile in order to process payments. This article covers the configuration of the Secure Acceptance Profile within the CyberSource Enterprise Business Center (EBC).

Important Note:

  • In order to process payments through NextRequest you will need to purchase NextRequest’s payments module. If you are interested in the payments module, please contact Support.

  • If you already have a CyberSource account, skip to the portal setup.

Create a Secure Acceptance Profile in CyberSource

  1. Navigate to Payment Configuration > Secure Acceptance Settings within the CyberSource Enterprise Business Center

    Note: If you already have an existing Secure Acceptance Settings Profile you wish to use for NextRequest, please open it and skip to step 7. Otherwise, please continue in order to configure a new profile.

  2. Click the New profile button at the top right

  3. Fill out the following information as a baseline during the configuration process:

    • Profile Name: Any name you would like

    • Integration Method: Hosted Checkout

    • Company Name: NextRequest

    • No Added Value Services are required, and the Contact Information fields can be left blank for the moment.

  4. Note the Profile ID as it displays in the profile information near the top of the page. This is one of the pieces of information which will link NextRequestto the Secure Acceptance Profile.

  5. Configure any payment methods that you would like to accept in the Payment Settings tab.

    Note: Ensure that the Service Fee checkbox is configured correctly, according to your CyberSource account manager.

  6. Configure the following information in the Customer Response tab:

    • Transaction Response Page: Hosted By You

      • URL: https://[your account name].nextrequest.com/cybersource_payment

    • Custom Cancel Response Page: Hosted by CyberSource

    • Custom Redirect After Checkout:

      • URL: https://[your account name].nextrequest.com/requests

  7. Click Create key on the Security tab

    Note: The Key Name can be any name.

  8. Copy or download the Access Key and Secret Key which appear in the panel on the right side

  9. Send the noted Profile ID, and the Access Key and Secret Key to NextRequest Support in order to have your account configured to integrate

Cybersource Portal Setup

Once your agency has a Cybersource integration account set up (please see Secure Acceptance Hosted Checkout for documentation) and your Onboarding Specialist or Account Manager has set it up for you, you can connect your account to the portal.

At this time you will need to provide your CyberSource profile id, access key, and secret key for Automation to enable CyberSource payments processing for your portal.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your NextRequestportal

  2. Navigate to the Admin header and click Portal settings in the drop-down admin header - portal settings selected in dropdown

  3. Scroll down and click Payments in the left menu Payments link in left navigation.

  4. Enter the Profile ID, Access key, and Secret key for your CyberSource account

  5. Click the Save button

Pass CyberSource Fees to Requesters

A convenience fee is supported only if Wells Fargo is your acquiring bank and FDC Nashville Global is your payment processor. If a service fee is enabled for your CyberSource through a Wells Fargo account, you can indicate this to the requester by updating your payment configuration in your portal settings.

  1. Log in to your NextRequest portal

  2. Navigate to the Admin header and click Portal settings in the drop-down admin header - portal setting selected in dropdown.

  3. Click Payments in the left menu Payments link in left navigation.

  4. Check the box for Charge credit card processing fees to customers
