By default, your account has one environment, this is your Production environment. This article will show you how to create a new environment as well as clone, edit, or delete existing environments.
Create an Environment
Navigate to Advanced Tools and select Environments
Click the + (plus sign) icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen
Fill in the New Environment information fields
Name (required): Enter a name for the new environment
Description: Enter a description for the new environment
App's URL Suffix (required): This field will automatically populate based on the name of the environment (this can be edited after the environment is saved)
Notification Email Addresses (required): Enter any email addresses that you wish to be notified of events such as user access requests and failed workflow events
Click Save
You can now edit the settings and appearance of the environment
Edit an Environment
Navigate to Advanced Tools and select Environments
Click the name of the environment you wish to edit
Navigate to the Settings tab to customize the name, standard settings, and email addresses for the environment, if desired
Environment Name: Click the name of the environment to edit the name
Standard Settings
Description: Add or edit a short description of the environment
App's URL Suffix (required): Edit the environment's URL suffix as desired
Notes:
This field will automatically populate based on the name of the environment.
We recommend keeping the URL as short as possible; use abbreviations if necessary. Too long of a URL may cause issues with rendering.
Custom Domain: Select the globe icon to set a custom domain for your environment.
Email Sending: Customize the sending email address for any out-of-the-box emails that are sent using your app in the environment. When configuring an email address, a verification email with a link will be sent to the listed email address. These links last 24 hours. If the link has expired, you can resend the verification email. Once the link has been clicked, thereby verifying the email address, any new emails sent from the app will be sent using your new sending email address.
Note: The email sending address is used for all apps in the environment. This email can be overwritten by configuring a different email sending address in your app.
Notifications (required): Add or remove email addresses that you wish to be notified of events, such as user access requests and failed workflow events. The email address is prepopulated with the Team Member who created the environment, but any email address can be added.
Click Save to save your changes
Navigate to the Appearance tab to modify the default appearance of apps and forms within this environment, if desired
Note: The Appearance tab allows you to customize the appearance of the apps and forms within the environment. These options are automatically inherited by all forms and apps. If you would like your app to have different appearance configurations, you can overwrite all of these configurations by updating the configurations on the Builder screen of an App.
