Add New General Ledger (GL) Account

This article will show you how to add a new General Ledger Account to your site. There are three types of GL accounts that can be created: Asset, Revenue, and Liability. Learn more about the GL Types.

Instructions

  1. Log in to Recreation Management

  2. Navigate to the Configuration tab, and then select Financial Settings, and then GL Configurationsconfiguration, financial settings, GL configuration in left navigation menu

  3. Navigate to Chart of Accountschart of accounts button

  4. Click Add New GL Account add new gl account button

  5. Fill in fields gl account fields

    • Code: Label your GL Code (100 characters or less)

    • Desc: Provide a brief description (100 characters or less)

    • Type: Specify if it will be a Revenue, Liability, or Asset account

    • Locations: Select locations to apply the GL Code to

      Note:

      Leave unchecked unless you use location-specific codes.

  6. Select Savesave button
