This article will show you how to cancel a card-present transaction after it is initiated.
Four Ways to Cancel a Transaction
Pressing either of these buttons will cancel a transaction:
Selecting Cancel on the touch screen

Pressing the Cancel button on the PIN pad

Selecting No on the touch screen when asked to confirm the amount

Or, you can select Cancel in PaymentMate

Use the Back Button
When using your browser’s ‘Back’ button during a transaction, it will close the session with PaymentMate and the device. The device will be back in sync with your POS. However, since CivicPlus Pay didn’t receive a result back from Tempus, the transaction will show no result and will eventually be marked abandoned.
