Previous Lesson: Using the Permit Editor

Deposits are custom add-on types you can create and assign to facilities for Users to pay when they make a reservation. Deposits can be refundable or non-refundable.

When to Use

Deposit refunds may also be issued back to a credit card if the initial charge was via credit card and your Payment Processor does not have a Refund time limit. Once you Initiate the refund/withholding, a receipt is generated and is available to email to customers. The refunded deposit will then be removed from the Unrefunded Deposits Module.

The Unrefunded Deposits Module can be utilized for:

  • Refunding facility deposits after a rental is complete Withholding deposits in the event of damage done to a facility

How to Apply

While learning how to utilize Deposits, you may experience areas where you have questions. If you have any questions or run into issues, please keep track of them so your CivicPlus representative may address them.

Please complete the following:

Build facility deposit add-ons

Assign the deposit add-on to the facilities it applies to

Create a reservation using the Facility Calendar for a date that has already passed so that it may appear in the deposit module

Practice refunding/withholding deposits
