F16. Reservation Restrictions

Prev Next

Previous Lesson: Reservation Status Types

Reservation Restrictions allow you to set limits to the number of reservations that can be made during a specific time frame, the number of consecutive days that facilities can be booked, and the number of facilities that can be booked on the same date/time.

Important Note:

Reservation Restrictions can only be added on a location-only basis. They cannot be added to individual facilities.

Video Instruction

Please watch the video to learn about Reservation Restrictions. Once finished, review how to apply what you learned in the system before continuing to the next Module in the training library.

When to Use

Some example uses of Reservation Restrictions can include:

  • Event space or field rentals that limit the number of times in a year or season groups can reserve space at a specific location.

  • Court rentals that restrict the number of times a user can rent in one day to avoid Users monopolizing courts.

  • Campsites that restrict the number of days in a row can be reserved by a single user.

How to Apply

While learning how to utilize Reservation Restrictions, you may experience areas where you have questions. If you have any questions or run into issues, please keep track of them so your CivicPlus representative may address them.

Please complete the following:

Create a Reservation Restriction and assign it to the location(s).

If you do not have a test reservation in your facility calendar, create one through the catalog.

Perform additional test reservations to validate that the restrictions are working in the system.
