This article will show you how to leverage account flags for swim lessons that require a participant to pass a level before they are allowed to register for the next level. This can be used in place of prerequisites to ensure that participants have successfully passed a level before continuing in the program.
Important Note:
This process can be used for any lesson that requires a passed level.
Instructions
Create Account Flags for each level of swim lessons you offer. For example: Guppies, Minnows, Level 1, Level 2, etc.
Navigate to Activities, then to Activities List
Search for your swim lessons Activity
Skipping your beginner level, select a session and edit the session
In the Session, click on the Access tab
Click Add Item under Required Flags.
Add the corresponding Flag to the session.
Note:
Example: If you are editing your Level 2, add the Passed Level 1 Account Flag.
Note:
Ensure that you select an individual.
Click Save
Repeat steps 4 & 5 for each level of swim lessons you offer, skipping the first level.
Once a participant has successfully passed a level, add the Account Flag corresponding to that level on their account.
Note:
Example: If the participant successfully passed Level 1, apply the Passed Level 1 Flag to their account.
Note:
Be sure to select just the participant and do NOT apply the Flag to the Entire Account.
Once the Flag has been added to the participant's account, the user will be able to register for the next level of swim lessons.
Note:
You can also apply Account Flags to users in bulk
