Change a Channel

Organization members will only see agent channels when starting a conversation. After the conversation is created, if it needs to be forwarded to another channel, then those options will become available. The intended purpose is to log the conversation first and then follow up if needed.

Instructions

  1. Click the New drop-down menu, and then the Conversation option:The New button on the menu bar expanded and the Conversation option highlighted.

  2. Input the details into the Message field:The Log a Conversation screen with the message field highlighted.

  3. Select a Constituent:The Log a conversation screen with Constituent Search results displayed and highlighted.

  4. Select a Channel:The Log a Conversation screen with Channel Search results displayed and highlighted.

  5. Input a Summary:The Log a Conversation field with the Summary field highlighted and filled.

  6. Select Start a New Conversation:The Log a Conversation screen with the Start New Conversation button highlighted.

  7. Select Conversations from the navigation bar, then select the desired Conversation from the Conversations List:The Conversations tab and a specific conversation are highlighted for selection.

  8. Select Reply:The Conversation details screen with the Reply button highlighted.

  9. From the drop-down menu, select the new channel you'd like to use:The Conversation Reply screen with the Select Channel drop-down menu expanded and an option highlighted for selection.
