Marketplace Mobile App Versus SeeClickFix Container App

Marketplace App

Upgrading to a Marketplace Mobile App gives customers the opportunity to take a configurable approach to their resident's mobile app experience.

If a marketplace app is purchased, SeeClickFix 311 CRM will build and release a customer-branded and dedicated mobile application for iTunes and Google Play stores (for example, Lincoln's UPLNK on Apple Store or Google Play, or Oakland's OAK 311 on Apple Store or Google Play).

With a marketplace app, the customer would have their own searchable app within either app store, displaying a custom icon and splash screen, with an app description explaining to residents exactly what the app can be used for. Outside of branding within the app stores is the ability to define exactly which organizations residents can report to and which issues are visible in a specific location. The marketplace app provides the customer the ability to only see their request categories for reporting and provides the option to only show issues reported to their organization.

In addition, with a marketplace app, a customer can get metrics on the number of downloads specific to their organization. The container app does not allow this. The customer will have direct access to the information for Apple iOS downloads as Apple requires the customer organization to be the developer of the app. SeeClickFix 311 CRM can publish the app for the Google Play store on behalf of the customer, and then support can provide download stats. If preferred, a customer can also become a Google Play Developer and publish the app directly (by giving access and permission to SeeClickFix 311 CRM).

The Marketplace App Requirements and Guidelines cover the details of the requirements of implementing a Marketplace App.

SeeClickFix 311 CRM Container App

The SeeClickFix 311 CRM container app is an app that shows all public issues for all organizations. For customers desiring custom branding and a configurable resident experience, the upgrade to the Marketplace App is recommended.

Here is a sample branding of the SeeClickFix 311 CRM Container App. Note the store icon, app name and description, and splash screen will stay the same regardless of the customer. A customer organization can brand, as desired, the Home page, which will populate based on the user's location.
