Connecting an X Account to the Archive

This article will go over how to connect an X (formerly Twitter) account to the archive for Account Owners and System Administrators.

Steps for Account Owners

1. Locate your initial email with the subject line of Social Media Archiving Action Required:

2. Click the custom link within that email:

3. Click Connect X:

Steps for System Administrators

1. Sign in to your Archive

2. Navigate to the Configure tab:

3. Next to the appropriate Account Owner, click Connect Accounts:

4. Click Connect X:

1. Use your login information to allow Social Media Archiving to access your account:

   Note:

   Connections will not work with Google logins for X. You must use your username/email and password combination.

2. Log in to your X account:

   Note:

   If you use two-factor authentication, you may need to enter your code on the next screen and click Authorize App again.
