Bond Events

A Bond is a security posted by a third party, typically used for construction work or new developments, that protects against non-payment or incomplete work. Bonds can be easily created and tracked in an account’s page.

Instructions

  1. Search for and access the account

  2. Click the Add Event button
    Add Event button in an Account profile.

  3. Click Bond in the Event Type modal
    The Bond button in the Event Type modal.

  4. Click into the Status drop-down
    The Status dropdown below the Status header.

  5. Select the appropriate Status of the Bond
    The Status options in the Status dropdown menu.

    • Pending: The bond has not been finalized.

    • Reviewed: The bond has been reviewed and instated.

    • Canceled: The bond has been canceled.

    • Completed: The bond has been completed by the customer.

  6. Click the Transaction Date calendar icon
    The calendar icon at the end of the Transaction Date input field under the Audit header.

  7. Select the date on the calendar
    The Transaction Date calendar date selector.

  8. Click into the Transaction Time field
    The Transaction Time input field below the Audit header.

  9. Enter the time of issue for the Bond
    The hour, minute, and PM or AM Transaction Time selectors.

  10. Type details for the Bond in the Internal text field
    The Internal text input field below the Note header.

  11. Click the Condition drop-down menu
    The Condition dropdown menu in the Details tab.

  12. Select a Condition
    The Type options in the Details dropdown menu.

    • On deposit: The Bond is paid and currently held

    • Refund: The Bond has been released and refunded

  13. Click the Type drop-down menu
    The Type dropdown menu in the Details tab.

  14. Select the Bond Type
    The Type options in the Details dropdown menu.

    Note:

    This field is configurable. The options in this image may not match the options available to your organization.

  15. Type the bond amount in the Amount field
    The Amount text input field in the Details tab.

  16. Click the Expiration Date calendar icon
    The calendar icon at the end of the Expiration Date input field.

  17. Select the bond’s expiration date
    The month, year, and date Expiration Date Calendar.

  18. Click the Documents tab to add documents, if necessary

  19. Click the Save button
    The Save button in the bottom left corner of the Bond modal.

    Note:

    A tracking number is generated and displayed once the Bond is saved.
