We strive to make our payments pricing straightforward and transparent. This article outlines how fees work when using CivicPlus Payments, what you can expect to see on your statements, and how to get full pricing details.

Overview of Fees

When you accept payments through CivicPlus Payments, a small fee is charged per transaction to cover processing costs, security, and service operations.

A few things to note:

  • Fees may vary based on the payment method used (credit card verus ACH)

  • American Express rates are higher

  • Additional fees will be applicable based on per occurrence, such as refunds and disputes

  • One-time cost per device (terminal) and Annual fee per device are applicable only for in-person payment acceptance

Fees are typically deducted from each payout you receive. You can view fee breakdowns directly in your Payments Portal. Please see the Reporting & Reconciliation section for more information.

What if I’m Using an External Processor?

If you’re using an external processor, please note that you will work with them directly on all pricing and fees related to your merchant account.
