Add a Draft

MuniPRO users can draft legislation using any publication within the code library as a starting point.

Instructions

  1. Log in and navigate to your Dashboard:The dashboard screen of Municode Codification, displaying a variety of search, upload, drafts, notes, notifications, and links.

  2. Find and review the desired code using MuniPRO Search or the code library Municipality Search:The home page for an example code of ordinances.

  3. Select Add Draft (paper with lines) icon next to the part of the code you would like to use in your new draft:A selection of a Code of Ordinances with the Add a Draft icon highlighted.

  4. Ensure the checkboxes next to the desired Chapters, Sections, or Articles are checked:The Add Draft panel with sections of the code of ordinances highlighted to be added to the draft.

    Note:

    The currently selected portion of the code will be checked automatically. Use the blue + and - buttons to expand or collapse the list of options, and check or uncheck other articles and sections of the code as desired.

  5. Click Next:The Next button on the Add Draft panel of a code of ordinances.

  6. Enter a Draft Title:The Draft Title field of the Add Draft panel is highlighted.

  7. Enter a Draft Note:The Draft Note field is highlighted on the Add Draft panel.

  8. Click Save:The Save button on the Add Draft panel is highlighted.

  9. Your draft has been saved to your Dashboard and your computer as a Microsoft Word file:The Add Draft panel with the save confirmation message highlighted.
