After processing a permit application and completing the inspection, you can close the permit and issue the certificate.

Create the Certificate Record and Close the Permit

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Permitting System, click List, and select a record:Navigation showing a list of permits with permit number and location details in the permitting system.

  3. Click Edit:Permit details showing application number, type, and amount due for drywall work. The edit button is highlighted.

  4. On the Certificate tab, click Add New and follow the instructions to create a certificate: Permit editing interface showing the amount due and option to add new certificates.

  5. Click Yes on the pop-up to close the permit: A confirmation prompt for closing a permit with options to proceed or cancel.

  6. Click Print Menu: Buttons for saving, cloning, canceling, and printing a permit are displayed. The print menu button is highlighted.

  7. Select the certificate to print from the dropdown menu. When finished, click Print Letter, and the PDF will open in a new tab where you can print the certificate:A form selection interface for printing a compliance certificate and address details.

    • Check the box to save the form, if needed: A form selection interface with a checkbox to save the form highlighted for user attention.

  8. Click Save Permit: Buttons for saving, cloning, canceling, and printing a permit in a user interface. The save permit button is highlighted.


Send the Certificate

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Permitting System, click List, and select a record: Navigation showing a list of permits with permit number and location details in the permitting system.

  3. Click Edit: Permit details showing application number, type, and amount due for drywall work. The edit button is highlighted.

  4. On the Status tab, select Routing Details. Then, open one of the departments that will send the inspection results:A case status shows routing details and department approvals for building review.

  5. In the Send Email To box, select who should receive the email: An email interface showing contacts, activity type, and subject for application processing.

  6. In the file name section, select the certificate: A highlighted file name for a permit plan review in the document management system.

  7. Add a Message and click Save Notes or Send Message: Button to save notes or send messages in a message editor interface.

  8. The system sends the email with the certificate attached
