This article shows you how to retire a parcel in Community Development. When you retire a parcel, it's no longer active. But we save its past information. This lets you look at its history later. Follow these steps to manage your parcel records.

Retire a Parcel

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Go to Asset Management, expand Property Management, and select Search:Community Development dashboard. The Asset Management and Property Management menu is selected. Search under Property Management is highlighted.

  3. Search for your property: Property Management page. Breadcrumbs show Home, Asset Management, Property Management, and Search. Heading reads Search All Property Entries. Search bar for property entries is highlighted.

  4. In the search results, find the property you are looking for. Then click the Edit Record icon under Action: Search results page. An Edit Record icon in the Action column is highlighted.

  5. Go to Property Details. Then, click the expand/collapse icon to open that section: Property details section is shown. Property Details, with its expand or collapse icon, is highlighted.

  6. Scroll down until you reach the Parcel Flags section: Property Details section of a form. The Parcel Flags section is highlighted.

  7. Click the Retire Parcel toggle to enable:Parcel Flags section is shown. The Retire Parcel toggle switch is highlighted and in the on position.

    Note

    After you turn this switch on, you can no longer select the parcel. You won't be able to use it for new permits, licenses, or projects.

  8. Click Update Record: Parcel Flags section is shown with the Retire Parcel toggle on. An Update Record button is highlighted.
