Retire, View, and Unretire a Suite | Elevate

This article shows how to retire a suite in Community Development. Retire a suite record when it is no longer needed. This helps keep your data accurate and organized. It removes the suite from active use. However, its past information remains available to view.

How to Retire a Suite

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Go to Asset Management, expand Property Management, and select Search

  3. In the Search field, type the details of the property you want to edit, and search

  4. In the search results, find the property you are looking for. Then click the Edit Record icon under Action

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the parcel, and expand the Buildings section

  6. Expand the Building Number where the suite is located

  7. Expand the SUITES section

  8. Expand the Suite Number you want to retire

    Details of a suite in a building are expanded. The suite number is highlighted.

  9. Select the checkbox "Do not show this suite in the address picker. The suite is retired, combined with other suites, or converted to property."

    This suite has been retired and should not appear in the address picker. The checkbox for this option is highlighted.

  10. Click Update Record

    The update record button is highlighted.


View Retired Suites

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Go to Asset Management, expand Property Management, and select Search

  4. In the search results, find the property you are looking for. Then click the Edit Record icon under Action

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the parcel, and expand the Buildings section

  6. Click to enable the "Display retired buildings and suites" toggle

  7. Expand the Building Number where the retired suite is

  9. Historical data for the retired suite can now be viewed. The information will appear greyed out. It will be unavailable to change.

Unretire a Suite

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Go to Asset Management, expand Property Management, and select Search

  4. In the search results, find the property you are looking for. Then click the Edit Record icon under ActionSearch results for a property showing details and actions. The edit record icon is highlighted.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the parcel, and expand the Buildings sectionList of buildings with their corresponding numbers and suite assignments displayed clearly. The building's header is highlighted.

  6. Click to enable the "Display retired buildings and suites" toggleOption to display retired buildings and suites in the property management system interface.

  7. Expand the Building Number and then SUITES, where the retired suite is. Retired suites are shown in black with the text struck throughA building number with five suites listed below for reference. The building and suite expansion options are highlighted.

  9. Uncheck the box for "Do not show this suite in the address picker. The suite is retired, combined with other suites, or converted to a property."The Do not show this suite in the address picker checkbox is highlighted.

  10. Click Update Record
