Released Enhancements
Workbench Accessibility Overhaul and DocViewer A11y Improvements
The document accessibility checker was rebuilt to give reviewers accurate, actionable WCAG results, and several accessibility fixes landed directly in the document viewer. Customers now also see a redesigned certified-accessible badge reflecting the more rigorous review process.
DocViewer Performance: Faster Loads, No Duplicate Downloads
The viewer no longer downloads the same large PDF and document data twice, and in-document link scanning was made more efficient. Large documents now load noticeably faster.
Document Metadata Accuracy and Control
Control Center gained a toggle to show either the document title or the original file name in the documents list, and manual corrections admins make to document metadata now survive automatic reprocessing instead of being overwritten. Date information is also grounded directly against the PDF file’s text layer for greater accuracy.
Control Center: Document Management Upgrades
Account admins can now export their document list to CSV, delete documents directly from Control Center, and experience faster loading on accounts with large document volumes.
Print View: Two-Page and Book Layouts
The DocViewer print view now supports two-page and book-style page layouts, giving customers more print formatting options.
Transcription Quality: Content-Filter Recovery
Pages that previously failed transcription due to content-filtering are now automatically repaired, with an AI-based fallback that recovers pages that would otherwise have been skipped, improving transcript completeness and accessibility for affected documents.
Canvas OAuth Reconnection Notice
When a linked Canvas (LMS) document requires the customer to re-authenticate, the viewer now shows a clear "reconnect required" notice instead of silently failing, so customers know when action is needed on their end.
Laserfiche Cloud Public Portal Document Ingestion
DocAccess can now ingest documents linked from Laserfiche's Cloud Public Portal, expanding the range of customer document sources that are automatically discovered and made accessible.
Pasted-URL Document Matching
Pasting a document viewer link now matches the correct document even from a partial or hashed URL, reducing "document not found" issues when customers share or paste links.
Docbox Install-Status Badge
A small corner badge now shows whether the docbox embed script was properly installed before the accessibility overlay ran, helping site owners catch installation issues.
Forms Processing: Archived/Filled Forms
Archived or already-filled-out forms are now transcribed as read-only records rather than being presented as fillable forms, avoiding confusing or incorrect form behavior for end users.
Control Center: Users Page
A new Users page shows last-login information, a per-user activity view, and a modal edit dialog for account administrators managing their organization's users.
DocViewer Sidebar: Certified Transcript Indicator
A collapsible "transcript certified" indicator was added to the DocViewer sidebar, so end users can quickly see the accessibility certification status of a document.
